Water taxi has direct access to lobby and on the other side of the hotel, you have direct ground access to the campo Santa Maria Formosa where restaurants, shops and à pharmacie is located. Hotel is a 5 minute walk from any attraction and lots of restaurants on the way. What makes this place memorable is how your away from high touristic traffic but so close to the action. We got a room with balcony and just savoured the tranquility and truly enjoyed the day to day life of Venice. The reception staff was most friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and yes, they serve a great mug of real American coffee. Take my advice, take the optional taxi with guide to bring you to the Ruzzini Palace. Roberta greeted us at the train station with our name on a sign, had the a private water taxi waiting for us and escorted us to the hotel in our 20 minute ride while we enjoyed the sights . Worth every Penney for the VIP experience. The hotel decor is a true Venice experience but with modern amenities. Bed & pillows were very comfy, lots of 220v plugs.

The location is perfect for exploring yet we didn't suffer any noise from outside. We were greeted warmly and with humour. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The large bath and powerful shower pressure were perfect after a long day walking. The staff were incredibly helpful and even managed to get us tickets for a sold out concert for which we were very grateful. They also arranged a courtesy transfer to Murano which was an awesome experience at the glass blowing factory and there was no pressure to purchase. We were then left to explore Murano and make our own way back.

Gorgeous building in an excellent location close to main sights, but pretty quiet. Beautiful, stylish, comfortable, spacious room with great view over the piazza. Big bathroom with all facilities. Everywhere was clean and well-maintained, modernised but retaining the historical feel. Staff always helpful and friendly and gave good advice re sights, transport etc. They arranged a taxi service from the airport as we were arriving late - quite pricey but a special way to arrive at the hotel. There are 2 cafes in the piazza for a quick breakfast and numerous restaurants within a short walk.

I would give this place 10/10 as the room was very comfortable, we slept really well and the staff were lovely. But I can’t justify paying 800 AUD per night (maybe it was so high as it was the Venice film festival) when there weren’t facilities like a gym etc. I except a lot for that price. But overall it was a pleasant enjoyable stay and the room was very large and nice.

This is a very nice property and close to everything.  The room was very clean and well appointed and the bed was comfortable.  The staff are friendly and helpful. One of the best things about the property is it has access from the canal so you can take a water taxi if you choose right up to the hotel. It cost quite a bit of money from the train station but well worth it when you consider the crowds, managing luggage, and cobbled streets. To have the boat take us directly to the hotel was great.

Really lovely hotel in Venice with amazing service and great location! Staff was friendly and kind, as well as helpful. Especially Mario who organised and attended to our transfer from the train station right up to the canal entrance of the hotel. Simon always had a warm smile and cheerful demeanor, it made our stay here so much more pleasant! There were plenty of amenities included in the hotel, and the location is close enough to the main sights but far enough for it to be quiet and not crowded. Highly recommend Ruzzini Palace Hotel!

The property and experience was exceptional!! The location was perfect and offered a beautiful view of the plaza square on one side and the canal on the other. Most Venice hotels don't offer both views. The staff made us feel so special and welcomed for our honeymoon and always remembered us when we came back. They helped arranged a private boat tour for us that we highly recommend and our water taxi to the airport. The rooms were also incredible, very spacious, comfortable beds, clean and had such beautiful character inside them. The hotel bar was a nice amenity and great drinks/ service! We will for sure be returning back! :)

Gorgeous hotel and room. The room was super spacious and private with a stunning view of the canal. The location was perfect, and away from the crowds. A lovely stay with lovely staff. Wish we could have stayed longer. The room and option to catch a boat taxi to the station was also wonderful. To be able to open the windows to see the view of the canals and watch passers by the bridge was such a lovely memory.

It was a beautiful family room a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of Venice. We loved our view of the canals. They organized a water taxi tour that we enjoyed on our way back to the car.

Location was perfect. Room was comfortable and as pictured. We had the attic room and it wasn't too cramped. Water entrance a plus if taking water taxi. Loved seeing kids playing in the square after school. Locals using the outdoor cafes too. Would definitely book again.
